Street Closures and Detours for the 4th of July Parade

Town of Friday Harbor

Parking and vehicle access on Spring Street will be restricted during the 2018 Fourth of July Parade from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (depending on the exact start of the parade.)

 

The Parade will start at the corner of Marguerite and Spring Street, travel down Spring Street to First Street, and end at the intersection of First Street and “A” Street.

 

Road closures and detour information (all times approximate):

·         The parade route will be closed to through traffic immediately following the unloading of the 10:10 a.m. ferry arriving from Anacortes.

·         No parking will be allowed along the parade route.  Town will post signage requesting that vehicles be moved prior to the parade.  Unmoved vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.

·         The Spring Street Parking Lot may be accessed for parking until 9:00 a.m. Vehicles parking in the lot will not be able exit between the time that the street is closed and reopened for the parade.

·         Detour signage will remain in place for the duration of the parade.
