Hours of Operation
Simple Changes holds lessons: Mondays 9am - noon and 2:30 - 5pm; Wednesdays 3:30 - 7pm, Thursdays 3:30 - 6pm and Saturdays 9:30am - 1pm.About Us
The mission of Simple Changes is to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities, their families and community through exceptional programs, especially therapeutic horsemanship.Simple Changes operates out of the Bureau of Land Management's Meadowood Recreation Area in Lorton, Virginia.
Equine assisted activities have been proven to improve balance, coordination and self-esteem of individuals with disabilities. Simple Changes helps these individuals prepare to be contributing members of our community.
We are always looking for volunteers to help at lessons. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and able to walk and/or jog for 2 - 3 hours. No horse experience necessary.
