New Assisted Living Facility Opens in Elk Ridge

On October 16, Elk Ridge welcomed their first brick and mortar business the Elk Ridge Assisted Living center. Members from the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber as well as the Payson Chamber, friends, family, and residents were there to congratulate co-owners Chris Hermansen and Lee Haskel.
Elk Ridge Assisted Living is a level 2 facility staffed by CNA’s who assist with medications, hygiene, and other basic needs.  There are 16 rooms and 18 beds with rooms to accommodate couples.
“This is a huge need with the baby boomer population,” says Hermansen who is also the center’s Registered Nurse, “with the growth from Spanish Fork to Santaquin this is a needed facility.”
Haskel and Hermansen chose their location not only for its beautiful scenery but it was a strategic decision. “We are within 3 minutes of the hospital so if there is something we cannot do we have that immediate access” added Hermansen.
