Executive Director Message

Clark H. Caras

And then two weeks later I’m seeing the same group or members of, on television stations local, national, and international for the saving of a little girl named “Lily.”

From top down, medical, first responder, and family themselves; all are in agreement this little one carrying the name of a flower as beautiful as she appears to be cute, should not be singing the songs we are hearing about or going home with a both happy and sad father whose prayers were both answered and dashed in the same instant.

Ribbon cuttings galore, businesses of the month more than well-deserved, networking luncheons full of good food and fun, along with Easter Egg Hunts to plan are all well underway and tell us things are right with the Spanish Fork Salem Chamber of Commerce.

But what tells us all we live, work, and play in a community of pride and progress, is the actions of brave men and women who are first responders in our hometowns. And no matter just how big or small the ribbon is that is stretched across that new business, or the familiar one along Main or Center. It’s the smile and song of a little girl named Lily that tells us this is the safe and loving community we all know it is and with an offer like that who can say no.

As a Chamber of Commerce our prayers, love and support go out to our First Responders and to Lily and her family.
