Executive Director Message

Clark H. Caras

When I took this job last January I did so with uncertainty and some fear.  No one wants to strike out for the home team, or drop the winning pass in the end zone.  But the uncertainty and the fear is gone thanks to all of you who have opened your doors to me, and to the ones who have so willingly asked us to stop by with a red ribbon and a pair of scissors.
Take the opportunity to look at the website and review the past year of the best chamber in the state. The new members, the activities, the Networking Luncheons, and the Play Unplugged program Spanish Fork has become famous.
Personally, I would be dishonest if I did not say thank you to some very special people in this chamber, which is of course all of you, but especially to Stacy Beck, Lance Wilson, and of course my everyday partner in in crime Heather Youd.  Each one of them has become a tremendous friend from whom I have relearned a confidence in myself that had been stolen.
And a special thank you to our two communities, Spanish Fork and Salem, for having the confidence in our chamber to renew each of the membership agreements they have with our group.  And a huge shout out to those businesses who of course proudly carry the term Platinum alongside their name and logo.  And thank you to The Dugout, Western States Insurance, and Central Bank who all this year increased their membership to the Platinum level.  And to our neighbors down the street, Maple Creek Home Health and Hospice that became the first Diamond Level in chamber history.
Again, happy holidays, good commerce, and no returns!
