Greetings from the Chamber!

The Sylvester-Worth County Chamber Community Christmas Clearing House is now taking donations as well as applications for assistance for those in need this Christmas.

If you know a family, that lives in Worth County, that needs assistance please encourage them to sign up November 21, 27 or 28 from 5PM to 7PM at the Chamber, 122 N. Main Street, Sylvester Georgia.

If you would like to make a monetary donation you can mail it to the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Clearing House, PO Box 768, Sylvester, Georgia 31791. Donations of Toys, Blankets, Gloves, Children's Clothing, Diapers, Space Heaters, and food are encouraged and can be brought into the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber, located at 122 N. Main Street.

This is a huge community effort to assist over 100 Children and 60 Seniors, in Worth County, for Christmas.

We would like to take a moment and thank everyone to date who has committed to help us in this endeavor for 2017.

Worth County Primary, Elementary, Middle and High School for their continued yearly support of this program and collection of gift items for the clearinghouse.

Rocky's Music - In less than 3 weeks time they have received donations of 150 Bibles so that each child and senior will receive a Bible!

Natural Solutions - Ms. Renee and Ms. Buffy and Staff have outdone themselves again this year with toys, clothing and much more.

Con Agra,, Olam Edible Nuts, Southwest Georgia Bank, Worth County Middle School, Kim Gilman, Green Oaks Center, Ms. Caroline Banks, and Sally Brown for your monetary donations.

Shingler Methodist Church for your gift certificates and donations of canned goods.

New Hope Baptist Church, Northside Baptist Church WMU, Shingler Baptist Church, Renasant Bank, Ms. Jean Brooks Sunday School Class and Kids Shop with Public Safety for adopting a senior or a family/families.

Winter Music Fest is coming! 

Worth County High School and Worth County Middle School Bands have a fantastic event planned for December 14, 2017 starting at 6:30pm.  This event, held at WCHS gym, will consist of the WCHS RAM Band and WCMS Band presenting their winter concerts with a joining of the two bands as a grand finale.  WAIT...there is more! 
The bands, under the direction of Miki Hutchinson and Timothy Fancher are planning a presentation of a Christmas gift from Worth County to Haiti!   
BLUME-Haiti serves music schools throughout Haiti. Read more about BLUME-Haiti here:   http://www.blumehaiti. org/ 
You do not want to miss this great event with our talented students and see the fantastic gift the bands are presenting to Haiti during the concert.  Mark your calendars and respond to this email so that we have a special seat reserved for you.
