The 2nd Annual Chamber Business After Hours is scheduled for Thursday - April 19, 2012 from 5pm to 7pm. There is no charge but you must be a Chamber member to participate. . If the weather is threatening or if it rains we have scheduled a make-up day for May 1, 2012. City of Sylvester Fire Department {Sylvester} - Chief Jody Yarbrough would like to remind everyone that Sunday, March 11th, is time to "Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery." As you spring forward, take a few minutes to change the battery in your smoke detector and test it to ensure that it's working properly. If you need a smoke detector or new batteries installed or assistance in checking your battery/detector please call the Sylvester Fire Department at 776-8510. TEEN CERT - COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM Worth County Fire Rescue announced a plan to prepare local youth for an emergency or disaster on Friday. Beginning next school year, Worth County High School juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to take an 18 hour Community Emergency Response Team {CERT} class.
