State Announces $100M Further Investment for COVID-19 Testing, After Pima Funding Issues

Huckelberry, citing financial issues, most recently made a request to the Pima County Board of Supervisors to temporarily suspend COVID-19 testing county wide if Pima County was not properly reimbursed for the approximately $48 million spent on COVID-19 testing in Pima County since April 2020, including $10.7 million of the County’s own funds.

The Tucson City council is set to have a special meeting to discuss COVID-19 infrastructure and testing finance later this Friday.
