Pima County Supervisor Adelita Grijalva to Talk New Term, District 5 with THCC, March 11th, 2021

Adelita has a history in local education and child development, working with Tucson’s youth by serving as Director of Pima County’s Teen Court and Juvenile Court diversion programs for over twenty years, and serving on her fifth consecutive term to the board of the Tucson Unified School District. In politics, she has worked with the Democratic National Committee during former President Obama’s first term, serving as a DNC member at large from 2008-2012.

In 2020, Adelita was elected for her first term as Pima County Supervisor for District 5, on an election largely focused on Tucson small business development. She has been working on the Commission for two months now, and is set to share her story, the importance of small business to District 5, the City of Tucson, and Pima County, and safe pandemic business practices with the THCC on a Digital Discussion on March 11th. The Discussion is virtual and will be broadcasted and streamed live through the THCC Facebook page.
