About Us

Seven Sisters of St. Joseph made the trek in 1870 from St. Louis to Tucson to open a school. Ten years later, the Sisters opened St. Mary's Hospital, making it the oldest hospital in Arizona. In addition to St. Mary's Hospital on Tucson's west side, Carondelet Health Network has St. Joseph's hospital on the east side, Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales, Arizona and an array of services at the Medical Mall in Green Valley. We are the largest not-for-profit health care organization in Southern Arizona.

Today, Carondelet Health Network is one of the area's top 15 employers, with more than 3,000 employees and 1,200 physicians with practicing privileges.
