Doing Business with Virginia & Peru Recap

The Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Consulate General of Peru collaborated in this event which celebrated and recognized the Peruvian Consulate's Guia de Negocios / Guide to Doing Business in Virginia and Peru. The guide is dedicated to business people, entrepreneurs and anyone interested in doing business in Virginia and expanding their business internationally in Peru. Likewise, this guide serves as a bridge for those who wish to open or expand their business in Virginia.

"The importance of this event is that it brought Peruvian and Virginia officials together and gave attendees the opportunity to understand the process of expanding their business in either Peru or Virginia" said Michel Zajur, CEO of the VAHCC. The event not only provided attendees with the valuable knowledge on how to go about growing their business internationally with Peru but it also provided a place to build key relationships as well.

The Consulate General of Peru stated that "The purpose of this guide is to provide our small and medium entrepreneurs the information and tools to be successful, as part of our efforts to promote and empower our Hispanic community."

With over 100 attendees representing both small and established businesses the event was a success. The affair was held at the George Mason Enterprise Center while Don Churro Restaurant provided some Peruvian favorites such as pisco sours and ceviche, enriching the experience for all guests.
