The concept that propelled Sushi Groove's San Francisco siblings- sushi chefs rolling maki while DJ's spin records in a modernistic space- has been imported, with much fanfare, to the East Bay.
From the moment you enter the restaurant through the bamboo terrace, the backlit amber seashell walls descend upon you as if this were the end of a perfect summer day turning into a warm summer night.
With over 25 years experience, Chef Mitsuo Nagameine, former owner of Daruma in Walnut Creek, creates traditional Japanese style fare with innovative touches of modern California cuisine.
