Continuing the momentum of the March 2 EBWC

The tenth anniversary EBWC featured three truly phenomenal speakers who brought the the sold out audience to their feet. Left to right: Debbie Sterling who, while in her twenties, founded the GoldieBlox toy company which inspires girls to be interested in engineering, technology, and math.  Oscar-winner Geena Davis -- who focused her remarks on the work of the institute she founded to gauge how women and girls are portrayed in television and movies. (She was a nationally ranked archer and is also a member of MENSA.) Sejal Hathi, a first-year student at Stanford University's School of Medicine, is pursuing a career at the nexus of medicine, technology, and social innovation. An avid social entrepreneur, Hathi shared inspiring stories and personal experiences pooled from two nonprofit organizations she founded. (Girls Helping Girls at age 15 and the social enterprise girltank at age 19.) Be sure to mark your calendar for next year's EBWC scheduled for Monday, March 7, 2016.
