Nearly a year in the making by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau’s East Bay Women’s Conference committee, the group “hit it out of the ballpark” with their eleventh consecutive sold out event. Attendee buzz continues that speaker presentations by Mavis Nicholson Leno, Chair of the Feminist Majority Foundations's Campaign for Afghan Women and Girls; Leslie Blodgett, Beauty Industry Magnate and Creator of bareMinerals; and Ann Mahlum, Founder and former CEO of Back on My Feet made this the “best conference to date” because they were authentic, inspirational, real women of substance – who spoke from their hearts.
Attendees packed interactive breakout sessions conducted by powerhouses in the fields of finance, negotiations, work/life balance, communications, leadership, and sexual health. In between, the exhibit hall offered plenty of shopping and information on products, services, and local non-profit organizations. John Muir Health and Stanford Children’s Health conducted a free health circuit that provided expert information and education resources, and tools to jump-start personal health and well being. The afternoon concluded with a champagne reception, and the opportunity to speak with hundreds of women with their own stories.
Be sure to mark your calendars for next year’s East Bay Women’s Conference scheduled for Monday, March 6, 2017.
