A Plan for Employee Parking

Where does employee parking fit in the City’s new parking plan?

As the economy picks up so does employment. Downtown employment means more employees looking for parking along with more and more shoppers. What's the plan? The Chamber's Civic Affairs Committee met last week with Matt Huffaker, Assistant to the City Manager, City of Walnut Creek to discuss the City's downtown parking plan especially as it impacts employers and their employees.

Adopt a Centennial Flag

Walnut Creek 100 – The Celebration of the Century! has begun in earnest and residents and visitors need only look up to spot civic pride all around. Colorful Centennial flags, adopted by citizens, businesses, and community organizations, are "flying" from lamp posts along downtown streets throughout 2014.  At the end of the year, flags will be given to the generous supporters who adopted the flags to enjoy for the next 100 years! To adopt a Centennial Flag and be part of the Flag Club, people can make donations electronically at WalnutCreek100.com, or contact the Centennial Committee by e-mal at centennial@walnut-creek.org.

Look for the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau flag on the cornor of Duncan and Main!
