Brentwood News

Varsity Eagles brought home a second place win in the 3rd annual “Briar-patch Brawl” cheer competition on Saturday, October 21.  The Middle School and Varsity Competition Cheer teams travelled to Eatonton, Georgia to compete in the GISA event. All classifications are combined in these events. The Middle School came out strong and were so excited to compete in the first competition of the season. They finished in a solid 4th place.  Coach Emily Sheppard stated, “ These are the hardest working group of girls who want to take State by surprise.”  Coach Melissa Weatherford agreed and added, “The girls bring their “A Game” to each practice and we are so proud of them.”

The Varsity Girls came out blazing, defeating several AA and AAA teams.  Coach Emily Sheppard said, “ This is going to be a great season for this year’s Seniors. “  Coach Weatherford added, “ Yes, they are great leaders and have a great group of girls who share a love for this sport.”

The Cheer Competition teams take the mat again on November 4th at Brentwood School at their annual “ Spirit of Sandersville” Competition.  Please come out and support these two teams.
