The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County will host a Saturday full of wildlife-themed demonstrations and events as part of the Wateree Outdoor Life Festival on Saturday, March 8.

The day-long festival will feature a variety of outdoor exhibitions, including a fly fishing demonstration by Tom Ryan, Pro Staff for Ironman Outdoors; a falconry demonstration from Mitchell Brantley and his red-tailed hawk, Bella, of the South Carolina Falconry Association; demonstrations featuring Labrador Retrievers and “The Official State Dog of South Carolina,” the Boykin Spaniel; and more.

A Taste of Lake Murray is the sole fundraiser for the annual Lake Murray 4th of July Fireworks Celebration. Created 10 years ago, this event is designed to help raise the $100,000 necessary to produce this annual celebration, including a Boat Parade and multiple firework shows. We would appreciate your support to help us bring to the community the 25th Anniversary Fireworks Celebration!!!  Named a Top 20 Event in the Southeast by the Southeastern Tourism Society, the Lake Murray 4th of July Celebration is important to the local economy for our 4 county region, it is estimated that over 135,000 spectators enjoy the event. A Taste of Lake Murray has also become an annual favorite with residents and visitors. We appreciate your contribution to this important community celebration.
