"Business as usual" is depleting the region's most robust source of groundwater, the Prairie du Chien-Jordan aquifer.  Out of sight, but hardly out of mind for residents of the northest metro, who are getting a first-hand glimpse of the impact of depleting aquifers on surface waters.
