Presented by: Matt Gulseth, Channel Financial

Matt Gulseth is a Certified Behavioral Finance Analyst. He will review the behavioral challenges we all have as humans and introduce simple and practical techniques that companies can utilize to help their employees make better decisions. He will provide specific examples of how to leverage these techniques to help employees save, save more, and save wisely.

His interactive presentation will review the work and applications of notable academics in the field of behavioral science, including:

Daniel Kahneman - 2002 Nobel Prize winner in Economics for the work he did in discovering the systematic biases we have as humans. He is the author of numerous articles and books including his most recent book "Thinking Fast and Slow."

Richard Thaler - Professor of Behavioral Science and Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Thaler expanded the applications of behavioral science and is author of numerous works including the book "Nudge: Improving Decisions about Health, Wealth, and Happiness."

Shlomo Benartzi - Professor and Co-Chair of the Behavioral Decision Making Group at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Professor Benartzi developed with professor Thaler a behavioral prescription designed to help employees increase their savings. He is the author of the Wall Street Journal Best Seller "Save More Tomorrow". He is also the chief behavioral economist for the Allianz Global Investors Center for Behavioral Finance.
Matt Gulseth is also an Attorney and Certified Financial Planner professional.  He is a partner at Channel Financial, a firm that is currently using finance solutions to improve the future of approximately 10,000 people in over 100 organizations.  He received his HD from the University of Minnesota Law School, and a B.S. in Engineering Management from the University of North Dakota.
