TOMORROW! - Transportation Disruption? Government Affairs Discussion

Several of the challenges we will address at this discussion include:
• Will autonomous vehicles lessen the need for commuter rail and bus service?
• Is the gas tax becoming irrelevant as a transportation funding source?
• Is the Legislature doing its job in facing future transportation funding priorities?

With a transportation paradigm shift coming in a few short years and approximately $450 million dollars in state bonding earmarked for transportation, are the elected representatives focused on the right priorities? Do we need a bold reform agenda to steer our transportation funding in a new direction? These are the questions we will address at our June 19 Government Affairs program. There are some serious issues that are coming to the forefront as we move into the next decade.

This high powered event is more than a learning experience. It will provide you with pertinent information so you can become an informed business advocate when it comes to our local and statewide transportation policy. Government Affairs sessions not only offer the opportunity to become an informed Chamber member, but are attended by members of our Legislative delegation and local civic leaders. By attending, you receive important one on one contacts with the elected officials who enact policies that impact your business.
