The Citizens Fire Academy (CFA) is open to anyone living or working in White Bear Lake, White Bear Township, Dellwood, Birchwood Village, or Gem Lake. This free academy is provided by The City of White Bear Lake Fire Department.

The ten-week academy meets weekly from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Fire Station One (fire headquarters) at 4701 Highway 61.

Each night, CFA participants learn about a different aspect of the fire department, ranging from emergency medical services to hiring and training firefighters to special rescue operations.

During the class, CFA participants also have the opportunity to spend time at fire stations and riding to emergency calls.

Applications can be picked up at the White Bear Lake Fire Department Station One (fire headquarters) at 4701 Highway 61.

Our next Citizen's Fire Academy class will begin March 6th 2013.
