MINNEAPOLIS (March 19, 2013) — Heidi Brophy, vice president and retail district manager for consumer and small business banking at U.S. Bank in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, was named one of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 honorees for 2013. All honorees are featured in the March 15, 2013 issue of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The 40 Under 40 award is bestowed upon 40 honorees based on their accomplishments, leadership and community contributions.

Brophy has worked at U.S. Bank for 13 years, all of them on the retail banking team. She leads 14 branches in the north central part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Brophy led her branches to exceed their financial objectives and grow better than expected in 2011 and 2012, despite the headwinds of a challenging economy.

“I am very proud of Heidi and her achievements at U.S. Bank and her dedication to the community,” said Elliot Jaffee, market president of U.S. Bank in the Twin Cities. “Heidi’s approach with her team and focus on client’s needs contribute to her success. In addition, leading 14 locations carries with it a large and diverse workforce. She is excellent at working through the generational shifts seen in today’s workforce and masters this by leading with tact, diplomacy and valuing the diversity of her team.”

Brophy is a member of the White Bear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, and a board member and vice president of community relations for the White Bear Lake Area Educational Foundation. She is also a strong supporter of financial education, and has been an active volunteer for Junior Achievement where she helps students understand why it's important to make saving money part of their lifestyle. Brophy also volunteers for the Bear Reading Program and Art Adventures Program at Lincoln Elementary School in White Bear Lake. The White Bear Lake resident is also a 2008 graduate of the Urban Adventure Program through the Greater Twin Cities United Way.
