State Rep. Barbara Sears To Kick Off Chamber Learn At Lunch Series

Member Programs

State Representative Barbara Sears was appointed to the Ohio House of Representatives in January 2008 and is currently serving her first full term. She represents the 46th House District, which includes the western portion of Lucas County.

Prior to joining the Ohio House, Representative Sears served from 1998 to 2008 on the Sylvania City Council – serving the last four as chair of the Finance Committee and President of Council. She was also active with the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments, a regional council of governments from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, most recently serving as chair of the council. In 2008, she completed her six year term on the Swan Creek Retirement Village, a part of the Ohio Presbyterian Retirement System. Representative Sears was active in their quality assurance committee and was chair of the adviser board. In addition to her work as a legislator, Sears is also a co-owner of Noble and Sears, Inc., a firm specializing in employee benefits and financial planning.

This program will take place monthly and will include a topic relevant to the business community and members. These Learn At Lunch gatherings serve as a resource for keeping members connected to the growth and changes in the area and statewide, as well as share their views on the needs of the business community.
