Whitehouse Wintefest....Will Go On With or Without Snow!

· Snow angel contest - this event becomes “chalk angel” contest. You can draw your angel design on the sidewalk and decorate it! Chalk will be provided, you bring the other embellishments.
· Snow ball throwing contest – becomes softball throwing contest. Register in the shelter house – event will take place in Village Park.
· Ice sculptures. This event will happen in front of the Whitehouse Inn. Ice Creations from Napoleon, Ohio, will carve 3 beautiful sculptures using power chain saws. Wow – this is an amazing event to watch! Tony Fronk will be offering up some specials at The Whitehouse Inn.
· Lunch at the Pythian Castle. Volunteers from the Whitehouse Library will be serving hot dogs and homemade soup. Stop by, visit with friends, and warm up in the Historic Pythian Castle, built in 1891, located at the corner of Lucas and Providence streets.
· Horse and carriage rides through the downtown. Join the fun and sign along with various musicians riding in the carriage.
· Toledo Roadrunners 5k Race/Walk. Registration begins at 2:30 at Cycle Werks – race starts at 4:00 pm
· Girl Scouts will be in the main shelter house in Village Park with the fire crackling offering cookies and other homemade treats for sale. Stop by to warm up around the fire and grab a snack. The main shelter house will be the location for registration for all events other than the sled race and 5k race.
· Snowy Night Light Parade begins at 6:40 pm and will travel through the downtown. LINE-UP LOCATION AND PARADE ROUTE HAVE CHANGED! Line-up will take place on Providence Street, in front of Village Hall. The parade will proceed north, crossing Waterville Street and ending at the log cabin. Since the parade takes place after date, this route requires less street closures and assures safer travel for both the parade entrants and spectators!
