The Chamber Partnership Is Seeking Business After Hour Sponsors!

The Chamber Partnership is currently seeking businesses interested in sponsoring our upcoming Business after Hours Events. Business After Hours is the premiere networking event for business professionals in the area. It is held on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This hour and a half time frame gives people an opportunity to discuss and share ideas while learning about other local businesses. It is a relationship-building experience held in a relaxed setting that benefits you and your company through added contacts and resources.

If you choose to sponsor a Business After Hours, your name/ the name of the business will be included in our monthly newsletter and broadcasts that are sent to all members of The Holland-Springfield Chamber of Commerce, The Anthony Wayne Regional Chamber of Commerce, and The Northwest Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, as well as an opportunity to promote and share information about your business at the event. Being a sponsor entails a business to select a restaurant of their choice to host the event at, as well as, a $150 to $175 investment in appetizers for all of those that attend the event.

As the saying goes “good things come to those who wait” --- well the wait is over and we are pleased to announce that the HR Council is ready to serve you the members of The Chamber Partnership.  The HR Council is comprised of Business Council Board Members Tami Norris; Michelle Donnelly and Connie Koch. Our primary focus is to deliver resources to assist businesses with their Human Resource needs.   

The HR Council would like to thank everyone that completed the HR Survey.  Based on the results and assessment of the needs, we will be launching a new program designed to provide you with the tools that will help you manage your business and assist with your employees.  More details to follow.

Whitehouse Village Offering Beginners Watercolor Classes!

February 25 through March 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm

 
Harry Daugherty, a local artist, is offering beginning watercolor classes as part of the Whitehouse Arts Advisory Board (WAAB) monthly art series. The classes will be held on Thursday evenings over a six week period.  Attendance at all classes is encouraged.  These classes are designed for the beginning watercolorist and will teach basic techniques.
 
Typical class session will include a short lecture, demo, painting exercise, and session handout.  Cost is $16 per class for a total of $96, which is due at the time of registration.  Classes will be held at Whitehouse Village Hall on Thursday evenings, February 25 through March 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
 
Registration forms and full payment are due by Monday, February 15, 2016.  Forms are available at Village Hall or www.whitehouseoh.gov (Online Forms).

Power Up Your Day With Chamber Day Each Month!!

In order to deliver the maximum amount of value into our member’s day, The Chamber Partnership will now be presenting a Chamber Day each month. The new programming is designed to allow members to pick the time slot that works best for them and join us each month for those events. Chamber Members have the option to join us for Coffee Connections in the morning, Lunch and Learn in the afternoon, and Business After Hours in the evening. Please note that members are welcome to attend more than one event throughout the day

Also being offered on Chamber Day is the chance for people to have Chamber 101 meetings with the Chamber Staff in between the events in order to maximize people’s membership. Join us on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for an opportunity to not only network with other chamber members, but also enjoy creating a masterpiece to take home with you! This event will cost $35.00 per person and will include beverages, appetizers, pizza, and all of your painting materials. Better yet, if you have children they are invited to come and play at Hero’s for only an additional $5.00. Children will enjoy playing on the giant inflatables, playing carnival style games, and will get pizza and a drink for dinner, all while being supervised by the wonderful Hero's staff.

Networking and eating will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and the painting class will begin promptly at 6:20 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We look forward to having a FUN night filled with networking and painting!
