Event Description
Camp Samantha for Kids & Grown-Ups is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp combined with grief education and emotional support. Through art, music, and a lot of talking and laughing, kids and adults learn about death and dying. And, they learn how to begin to cope. All of this in a safe environment with other grieving children and adults where they can realize they are not alone.

Details
Camp Samantha is a grief camp held in July at Spirit in the Desert located in Carefree, AZ. This weekend, overnight camp is designed for children and teens 6-17 and the adults in their lives who have experienced the loss of a loved one. The camp runs from Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. to late Sunday afternoon. The registration fee is $50.00 and includes food, lodging, and take home items. Partial scholarships are available upon request.
The adult program at Camp Samantha is facilitated during the same time as the kid's camp in an adjacent facility.
