Event Description
The University of Mary Washington Small Business Development Center Warsaw office will be offering a 4-part Financial workshop series in August.
The workshops will be held at the Enterprise Center, across the parking lot from Hunan Restaurant, every Wednesday from 12:00 – 1:30 pm and every Thursday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
The registration/material cost for the 4-part series is $100 for the series or $30.00 per workshop.
1. “Your Business Health” Business problems are so incredibly similar to our health problems. A seemingly healthy business can have underlying problems that can be more easily addressed and or resolved if the effort to do so is sooner rather than later. Attend this workshop to determine your business’ health. (August 1st and 9th)
2. “Understanding Your Financial Statements” A small business owner must be able to understand their financial statements in order to realize the vital role money plays in every business decision and to determine if you are making a profit or losing money. In this workshop we will: Review accounting basics to understand the information on your financial statements and to understand how to read and analyze your income statement and balance sheet. (August 15th and 16th)
3. “Cash Flow Management” Cash flow management is the process of monitoring, analyzing and adjust your business’ cash flows. The prime objective for any business to survive is to have enough cash to meet its obligations. All businesses, no matter how small or large, function on cash. (August 22nd and 23rd)
4. “Understanding Where You Stand” Is your business making the grade? Attend this workshop to learn how to score some insight into the performance of your business. (August 29th and 30th)
