Kwanzaa was created in the 1960s in the point in American history where African Americans and those who supported their causes marched, organized, petitioned, demanded and shamed society into making changes to the political, economic and social landscapes to include them.
The Center for Intercultural Engagement and Student Success is a student-centered office that focuses on student engagement and success, building intercultural relationships and guiding students towards self-agency for their futures. It works with student identity and interest groups to promote inter and intra-group collaboration and understanding and strengthen leadership opportunities and intercultural competence skills.
