Adams County Chamber of Commerce - Event Information

Event Name:Young Eagles Rally - Free Airplane Rides

Area youth ages 8-17 will have a chance to take to the skies on Saturday, June 22, as Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 931 hosts the Young Eagles Flight Rally at Adams County Airport in Friendship, WI.

Pilots at the event will also educate about their airplanes, how airplanes work and how pilots ensure safety is the primary concern before every flight. Each pilot volunteers their time and aircraft so the flights can be provided free of charge for interested youth.

Following the flight, each participant will receive a certificate making him or her an official Young Eagle. Their name will then be entered into the “World’s Largest Logbook” which is on permanent display at the EAA Air Adventure Museum in Oshkosh, WI. In addition, the Young Eagles program offers other benefits such as free online aviation ground school course instruction until the age of 18 with the opportunity of receiving scholarships.

Those attending the flight rally are asked to come to the entrance/parking lot off 11th Ave, starting at 9am to register for their flight. Flights will begin at 9am, with registration closing at 1pm. Legal Guardians must be present to sign registration forms.
