Event Description
The Missouri Livestock Symposium is the premier educational event for livestock producers. It is held at the William Matthew Middle School, 1515 S. Cottage Grove in Kirksville, MO. Dr. Temple Grandin will be our keynote speaker on Friday evening and also present some eduational programs on livestock handling Saturday morning. We have a sold out trade show on Friday evening and all day Saturday that offers something for everyone. We have one of the best educational programs in the country for anyone interested in the production of livestock and forages. Eight different topics every hour. Forty-eight top-notch speakers, forty-eight different topics, including beef, sheep, meat goats, stock dogs, forages, horses, farm management, hot topics and around the farm and home topics. Friday, December 6: Trade show opens at 4 p.m.; beef supper at 6 p.m.; evening program begins at 7 p.m. and includes presentations for Livestock Person of the Year, Agriculture Educator Lifetime Achievement award and photo contest winner. Keynote Speaker Dr. Temple Grandin, the most famous person with autism in the world. She is also famous for her groundbreaking approach to decoding animal behavior and how it helps you handle livestock safely and effectively.

Saturday, December 7: Trade show opens at 8 am. Free educational programs begin at 9 am.
