The Council of Albuquerque Garden Clubs Plant Sale began in 1973 (46 years ago) and is the longest and most successful plant sale in Albuquerque. From that first sale where they sold only “strawberry items: strawberry bread, cookies, cards with strawberries on them, strawberry earrings, and strawberry plants, to a strawberry pot door prize, the sale has come a long way, even though many of our customers are now the third generation of buyers from that first sale. We are the only place where you can buy home-grown plants from our members’ gardens. That is one of our Trademarks. We also have heirloom tomatoes, chilies and peppers grown by ABQ garden club members or area growers. These plants are climate and altitude tested, guaranteed to thrive in our high desert environment.
We’ve always sold quality veggie plants. You can count on them. We know the varieties that do best in ABQ. We have locally grown bedding plants, Daylily rhizomes, iris rhizomes, herbs, Dahlias, African Violets and Geraniums. Find your hanging baskets and container plants here as well as a huge variety of Xeric plants to choose from. You name it—if it’s a plant, we probably have it. Free parking and admission.
The Sale is Friday April 26, 1pm - 6pm and continues Saturday April 27, 8am - Noon
