This is an annual Summer program with events and reading incentives for children ages 3-12. The program dates are June 11, 18, 25 and July 9 from 10:00 - 12:00. The theme of the 2019 Summer Reading Program will be Alabama Has a Universe of Stories, celebrating outer space, Alabama's Bicentennial and the 50th anniversary of the first man on the moon. This is a FREE program. You can sign up at Monroe County Public library or at the Summer Reading Program kick-off June 11, 2019. Upon registering in the program, both kids and adults receive a reading log that they may submit to be eligible for prizes.
