Westbound Interstate 10 (Papago Freeway) closed between Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) and Avondale Boulevard Oct. 29-Nov. 1

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time 

Drivers who use I-10 between Avondale Boulevard and I-17 in Phoenix should plan for delays and use caution while the following weekend closures are in place for pavement removal.

Westbound I-10 will be closed between Loop 101 and Avondale Boulevard from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1. The westbound on-ramps at 83rd, 99th and 107th avenues also will be closed.

• Detour: Drivers may take the 91st Avenue exit and drive westbound on either McDowell Road or Van Buren Street to Avondale Boulevard to re-enter I-10.

The southbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) ramp to westbound I-10 also will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1. 

• Detour: Drivers can exit Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) at McDowell Road and drive westbound to Avondale Boulevard.

ADOT urges motorists to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.
