ISU Extension & Outreach Emmet County and Avera Holy Family Hospital are partnering to offer A Journey Through Parkinson's Disease.
Approximately 1.5 million Americans and 10 million people worldwide live with Parkinson’s Disease. Approximately 60,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed each year.
If you are struggling with Parkinson’s Disease or know someone who is, it is helpful to know where to find support on this journey.
“A Journey Through Parkinson’s Disease” is a three-session program where participants:
● Learn to recognize the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease ●
● Understand what causes the disease and how treatments work ●
● Explore therapeutic activities that can be done from home ●

The three 45-minute interactive sessions will be led by a trained Iowa State University Extension and Outreach specialist, with time for questions throughout the program and at the end.
