Event Description
At next month’s GFWC-AZ Board of Directors meeting on September 10, 2022, the Done-in-a-Day project is collecting items for the Blue Star Moms of the Southwest Valley. They will be packing 40 patriotic pillowcases with items to be sent to service men and women in Africa, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine. Attached is a wish list of items. Cash donations are also accepted. I need all donations by Thursday, September 8, 2022. I will be at the Buckeye Woman’s Club at 1 pm that day until 4 pm, or you can contact me to meet some other time. Treats for Troops Wish List:
Herbal teas, hot cocoa, beef jerky, fruit snacks, protein bars, nut snacks, popcorn, small cans with pop tab tops, of fruit, vegetables or soups (spaghettis), dryer sheets, foot powder, dryer balls, clothes freshener sheets, small boxes of fabric soap, baby wipes, Lysol wipes, Kleenex, scrub brushes for nails, eye drops, sewing kits, mole skin, Band-Aids.
Special items:
Patriotic socks or handkerchiefs, small puzzles or sand art, adult coloring books and colored pencils, puzzle books, word search books, etc.
NOTE: Items are shipped in large, flat rate postal boxes so size of items donated is a consideration!
