Julefest is an annual celebration held in the Danish Villages of Elk Horn-Kimballton on the Friday (November 24) and Saturday (November 25) immediately following Thanksgiving. Both communities will be festively decorated for Christmas.

Celebrate the holiday season the villages of Elk Horn and Kimballton where you'll find over 30 locations displaying their holiday giftware, crafts, foods, and antiques. The Windmill, Bedstemor's House, and Museum of Danish America will be decorated for the holidays, and open for tours. Enjoy the warm hospitality as the villages celebrate the arrival of the Christmas season. 
 

The Danish Windmill will be offering free tours of the windmill Friday-Sunday with extended hours. Our gift shop of Nordic imports, local products, and specialty goods will be fully stocked with all of your unique gift items, collectibles, and souvenirs. In addition to our usual samplings of havarti cheese and gløgg, we will be offering an aebleskiver demonstration this year with free samples.
