Join volunteer naturalists, Joe and Felicia Mendygral, for this 1.5 mile snowshoe hike which is great for beginners. We'll do some stretching, warm-ups and discuss what to wear and pack. This is the first in a series of three snowshoe hikes where the distance will increase with each hike.
Location
Setting: In-Person Mueller State Park 21045 CO-67 Divide, CO 80814
Meet at the picnic tables at Outlook Ridge Trailhead. Need snowshoes or guidance on putting on a new pair? Arrive at 10am and you can borrow a pair (first come, first serve). No snow? That’s ok! We’ll discuss all the key elements and go for a hike. An annual pass, Keep Colorado Wild pass, or $10 day pass is required to enter the park. You can easily purchase a day pass at the visitor's center or at the self serve station located at the first information sign on your right when you enter the park.
