Description: Competence in contract management is a direct result of the Contract Manager’s ability to apply leadership, management, andtechnical competencies as a single, integrated process. This session explores the Contract Management Standard (CMS) and the ContractManagement Body of Knowledge (CMBOK) through the flow of the CMBOK Competency System. This System presents the interactiverelationships of the CMS and CMBOK domains, competencies, and job tasks, which are independently and jointly performed by buyers and sellers. Who Should Attend? This learning event is for any stakeholder involved in any manner in contract management, to include those who areinvolved in developing and issuing solicitations; negotiating and forming contracts; monitoring and documenting contract performance; and,reconciling and closing the contract.
