To make a blood donation appointment, visit www.vitalant.org, download the Vitalant app, or call 1-877-25-VITAL (1-877-258-4825).
Donations of every blood type are urgently needed, supplies of type 0 are critically low. O Negative is the universal blood type that can be transfused to any patient when its immediately needed. O Positive is the most in-demand and transfused blood type. Platelet donations are critically needed daily. About 50% go to help cancer patients.
