Event Description

Kate Mitchell gives an overview presentation on women spinning, discussing the history of textiles, threads, and dyes, as well as her experience working with six women’s textile cooperatives in the Peruvian Andes in 2015, and her own experience as a textile artist. Participants will have the opportunity to drop spindles, examine natural dye stuffs, and spin up some yarn of their own.
