Join us La Fiesta Mexicana at their upcoming Domestic Awareness Forum, taking place on Saturday, October 18th, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 a.m., 94 Maxcy Plaza Cir., Haines City, prior to business hours.
This forum is being hosted by La Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant in collaboration with EMERGE, a community-based organization of entrepreneurs focused on leadership and personal growth. Together, we are uniting to bring awareness and education to our community regarding the dangers of domestic violence.
The event is being held in memory of Yahorany “Nani” Popoca, a beloved waitress at La Fiesta, whose life was tragically taken by her estranged boyfriend outside of the restaurant in June 2024. While honoring her life, our purpose is to inform and equip our community with practical knowledge about what to do if one feels their life is in danger—particularly in situations involving domestic abuse.

Why it is important to report those incidents
The effects of a Domestic Violence occurrence
