Local veterans organizations will host the 104th annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Bill Dreggors Park in DeLand on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The event is presented by American Legion Orange Baker Post 187 and American Legion Adam Quinn Post 6, continuing a DeLand tradition of honoring veterans at the park since its dedication in 1921.
The ceremony will feature the DeLand High School Air Force JROTC Honor Guard, DeLand Fire Department Honor Guard, remarks by Mayor Chris Cloudman, and a presentation by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Shotgun Honor Team. Students from St. Barnabas Episcopal School will also participate.
American Legion Department of Florida District 17 Commander Jim Bowers will serve as Guest Speaker, and Commander Rasheeda Denning of American Legion Orange Baker Post 187 will serve as Ceremonial Host.
Community partners will host informational booths, including Volusia County Veterans Services, VA Suicide Prevention, Stetson University Veteran Services, Military Officers Association of America, the Orange Baker Post 187 Historic Museum, and DeLand Historic Trust.
All veterans, families, and members of the public are encouraged to attend and join in honoring those who have served our nation.
