Ethos Literacy is a nonprofit adult literacy program that provides free tutoring to teens and adults in foundational skills. The Short Short Story Contest supports our work. The challenge: 100 words. The topics: chicken(s), detour, purple, something lost. Dates: Dec. 15, 2025 to March 1, 2026. 6 Prizes including a Youth Prize for writers ages 14 - 17. E-publication. Entry fee: $15. Ages: 14+
