Event Description
Learn all about winter seed sowing and take home your own seed starts in this hands on workshop with Middlebrook's Farm Manager, Mosa!

In this class, you’ll learn which seeds are best suited for winter sowing, prepare your containers and seeds, and receive expert tips from our Farm Manager, Mosa Shayan, for ensuring strong, healthy seedlings once the weather warms.

Each participant will receive the materials needed to begin sowing, including one milk jug, potting soil, and basic gardening tools. We’ll have enough milk jugs for everyone to start at least one container, but if you have extras at home and want to start more, please bring them along!

A limited selection of annual flower, herb, vegetable, and perennial seeds—harvested from the Middlebrook Farm town garden—will be available. If there are specific plants you hope to grow this season, we encourage you to bring your own seeds as well.
