Indianola’s Granny Basketball team, the Indy Pacemakers, will take the court for a good cause on Saturday, February 28, at 3 p.m. in the Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary School gym. The Pacemakers will face the Indy Playmakers, a team made up of staff members from the City of Indianola Parks & Recreation Wellness Campus departments.
The doors open at 3 p.m., with the game starting at 3:30 p.m. There will be no admission charge for the game, but a freewill offering will be collected, and a raffle featuring donated prizes will be held. All proceeds from the event will benefit adaptive recreation programs organized by Indianola Parks and Recreation, supporting inclusive opportunities for individuals of all abilities to participate in recreation and wellness activities.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend, cheer on both teams and support adaptive recreation programming that makes recreation activities accessible to everyone.
