SS Sicamous Presents "Steering Through History" Lecture Series #1
Thursday March 19th 4pm to 5pm with Randy Manuel - The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
“The story of crime and the characters of the early years in the region. The Gold Brick Robbery of Camp McKinney, the tar and feathering of Dr. Latimer by Penticton Mayor Charlie Oliver in regards to alleged improprieties with Mrs. Oliver; as well as the only time court was help on a Saturday to deal with the politician’s family member punching out an RCMP Officer…and other stories as time permits.”
The Lecture Series kicks off here, Thursday March 19th at 4pm on board the historic SS Sicamous on Okanagan Lake and continues every Thursday until May 7th!
The Sicamous is celebrating it's 112th Birthday this year and events like this help us celebrate that!
