The Cats & Dawgs Kirkland Classic is the official celebrity softball game and opening ceremonies for the Junior League Softball World Series (JLSWS) — Kirkland's biggest week in youth sports. Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the JLSWS in Kirkland, the Classic kicks off a full week of international competition that runs August 2–8, 2026 at Everest Park, with games broadcast live on ESPN+.
Watch WSU Cougars alumni, UW Huskies alumni, and local celebrity athletes take the field for a fun, competitive game that celebrates the female athletes at the heart of this tournament. From the thunderous first pitch to the trophy ceremony, this is a can't-miss afternoon in Kirkland.
The Classic exists to celebrate and elevate female athletes, unite the Kirkland community, and raise sponsorship funds for tournament needs beyond what Little League International provides. Every year, Kirkland hosts teams from across the globe, and the Cats & Dawgs game is how the community says welcome in the biggest, most spirited way possible.
