In the Military since its foundation there is someone always on watch, originating as a Fire Watch to ensure that tents didn’t catch fire as soldiers slept, and evolving into a role that ensures someone is always prepared should a crisis occur. This drive to protect others, be there to help in a crisis, and provide resources is our Namesake.
When we separate from the military the way we relate to our service differs from person to person, but we all become part of our communities. This is the network that we at the Fire Watch are striving to build, communities who care about their veterans, taking an active role by recognizing the signs of a crisis and connecting the veteran with resources.

Cost: 45 minutes of your time
Gains: Knowledge, Unerstanding, and Resouces to help others connect with resources in a preventive approach to avoid falling into crisis, reducing the local suicide rates
