Event Description

The Future of Housing in Your Neighborhood

Housing is changing across Washington — and for many homeowners, the conversation is starting close to home.

Join Dream DADU for a thoughtful, in-person homeowner seminar at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center exploring detached accessory dwelling units, also known as DADUs or backyard homes.

This free educational conversation is designed for Mercer Island, Bellevue and the Eastside homeowners who are curious about what today’s zoning changes may make possible, how detached ADUs can support family flexibility, and what to understand before beginning the design or feasibility process.

We’ll discuss how homeowners are thinking about DADUs for aging parents, adult children, long-term property planning, rental flexibility, and neighborhood-scale housing.

We will also highlight the impact of thoughtful design that enhances your neighborhood.

Bring your questions. No plans or project required.

This is simply a chance to learn, ask, and better understand what may be possible on your property.
