Plumas-Sierra County Fair Parade Set for July 25
QUINCY, CA – Plumas and Sierra Counties can look forward to the annual Plumas-Sierra County Fair Parade, a cherished local tradition, which will take place in downtown Quincy on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The theme for this year’s Fair is, “The Best of America – 250 Years”.
Following the Quincy Chamber of Commerce’s recent notification that it made a difficult, “decision to withdraw from managing and organizing the annual fair parade,” local partners quickly came together to ensure the event continues as part of the annual fair celebration.
The Fair Parade will go on through partners including the Plumas-Sierra County Fair Foundation, the Quincy Chamber of Commerce, the Plumas County Fair, and a growing group of community supporters.
“Our goal is to assure the community that the parade is an important tradition that will continue,” said Nancy Gambell, member of the Plumas-Sierra County Fair Foundation. “This effort represents the strength of collaboration, community and love for the Plumas-Sierra County Fair everybody shares.”
Organizers are also working to expand public outreach and encourage broad participation from businesses, organizations, schools, nonprofits, and residents throughout the Plumas and Sierra County region.
Any individual or group interested in participating in the parade can download the application from the Quincy Chamber website (https://www.quincychamber.com/parade) or visit the Quincy Hub at 493 Main Street. Additional announcements and details will be shared as planning continues.
In the spirit of representing all communities in Plumas and Sierra Counties, organizers encourage parade entries from all corners of both counties. For more information, please email p-sfair@countyofplumas.com or call (530)283-6272
